Your Role in Your Relationships

Your Role in Your Relationships

A manual is an instruction guide we have for someone in our lives about how we would like them to behave so we can feel good and be happy. A boundary is something you create for yourself that delineates where one person ends and another one starts.

A great relationship is about two things: first, appreciating the similarities, and second, respecting the differences.

^Including YOU ^

Here’s a few highlights from this week’s episode:

  • What’s a Manual?

  • How do our manuals affect our relationships

  • You are responsible for your relationships 100% of the time

  • Both partners in any relationship are each responsible for their own happiness

  • What’s a boundary?

  • Grab your journal and explore:

    • Think of someone in your life who you’d like to deepen your relationship with.
List at least ten manual thoughts you have in this relationship

    • How many of these do you also apply to yourself?

    • What would happen if you dropped these manual thoughts and started focusing on leading by example with no expectations of how others behave?

    • How can you transform some of your manual thoughts into boundaries?

Believing in YOU,
Jen & Amanda
